Polyurea
Polyurea provides superior high-level chemical resistance and protection against impact, abrasion and corrosion to deliver maximum protection and toughness, but at a tremendous value.
Recognized for is outstanding strength, elongation, abrasion and chemical resistance, A Polyurea lining system is designed for heavy duty industrial applications, particularly where high performance and rapid turnaround times are critical.Polyurea is spray applied using high pressure heated plural component spray equipment. This high performance industrial coatings physical properties include high tensile strength and elongation properties. The coating sets rapidly in under 5 seconds adhering tenaciously to a variety of substrates including steel, concrete, fibreglass and timber.Polyurea is not moisture or temperature sensitive which makes it ideal for applications in humid, cold or damp substrates without affecting the mechanical properties when applied in such conditions. Additionally, the product is fast to cure benefiting the customer especially when application time is of the essence and limited downtime is required.
Rhino PP1195 is used extensively in water and wastewater treatment plants, tank linings, secondary containment applications, industrial flooring and mining applications as well as primary containment in tanks and vessels subject to abrasion and/or substantial substrate movement.
Polyurea will bond to almost any substrate regardless of the size or dimension. Surfaces such as concrete, metals, fibreglass or wood can be spray applied to provide a monolithic, protective seamless lining allowing for movement, expansion, contraction, movement and flexing of the surface. Additional benefits include abrasion, and impact and corrosion protection.
Our products can be spray applied or cast onto almost any substrate, whether it be new or in-service, regardless of any shape or penetration. With a minimum of 2mm to any required thickness in just one application and the benefit of being tack free within minutes. Our spray application process provides a seamless, durable lining that protects substrates against corrosion, impact, abrasion, chemical attack and containment. The tough monolithic membrane exhibits excellent elongation and will stay flexible year after year, adhering tenaciously to the surface substrate.

Our protective coatings can be applied significantly thicker than many other coatings available on the market – from 2mm to unlimited thickness in one application. They can even be used as a sacrificial lining capable of protecting your equipment from abrasion and impact.
Used extensively in the water and waste water industries, pure polyurea coatings are recognized as providing the most optimal solution to permanently shield against corrosion, chemicals, bacteria, hydrogen sulfide and abrasion. The coating is fast curing and can withstand most chemical gasses produced at waste treatment plants.
All our polyurethane and polyurea formulations are tack free in minutes and fully cured in 24 hours under normal conditions.
Several polyurea systems are available for Potable Water applications and are USDA-acceptable and NSF-approved to ANSI-NSF 61 Standard for potable water storage.

Polyurethane Foam
- ThermalGuard™ OC1 is an open cell, 100% water blown spray polyurethane foam insulation with a density of 1 lb that can be used in walls, ceilings and roofdecks of residential and commercial buildings. It is Class I fire rated and has a R-value of 5.2 per inch. ThermalGuard OC1 expands upon application and forms a sealed thermal envelope that will not sag, settle or deteriorate over time. It is designed to reduce energy consumption in residential and commercial structures up to 50%.
- ThermalGuard™ OC.5 and OC.5X are open cell, 100% water blown spray polyurethane foam insulation with a density of 0.5 lb that can be used in walls, ceilings and roofdecks of residential and commercial buildings. They are Class I fire-rated with a R-value of 3.8 per inch and 4.2 per inch respectively. ThermalGuard OC.5X is also Appendix X compliant. ThermalGuard OC.5 and OC.5X expand upon application and form a sealed thermal envelope that will not sag, settle or deteriorate over time. They are designed to reduce energy consumption in residential and commercial structures up to 50%.
- ThermalGuard™ CC2 is a closed cell, 245fa blown spray polyurethane foam insulation with a density of 2.0 lbs that can be used in walls, ceilings, roofdecks of residential and commercial buildings. The Class I fire rated insulation foam is Appendix X compliant without any additional coatings and has a R-value of 6.85 per inch. Spray foam products expand upon application and form a sealed thermal envelope that will not sag, settle or deteriorate over time.
- GeoTech CC2TB is a highly stable, closed-celled, water-blown spray polyurethane foam system designed for exterior ditch breaker, soil stabilization and geotechnical applications that require high compressive strength and low exothermic reaction temperatures. When applied, GeoTech CC2TB expands approximately 30x in seconds and maintains dimensional stability in a variety of environmental conditions. GeoTech CC2TB utilizes advanced, proprietary chemistry that lowers the product’s exothermic reaction temperature during installation, allowing contractors to apply in one continuous spray lift of well beyond 4" without combustion and excessive pooling or blowback.
- DuraTite® Spray Polyurethane Roofing Foams are 245fa-blown, zero ozone-depleting (Zero-ODP), closed cell spray polyurethane foam systems. These systems improve energy efficiency and offer both a low lifecycle cost and environmental impact with almost no maintenance. DuraTite roof foams come in three different densities: 2.5, 2.8 and 3.0 and are Class I fire rated. They have a Tensile Strength of 65-75 psi, Compressive Strength of 45-55 psi and R-value of 6.9 per inch.
